2024 Our new family from Uganda, resettled into Buffalo this past April, has "weathered" the challenges of living in Western NY, not to mention the onslaught of winter. One of the first challenges was adjusting to elementary and secondary schools with just about seven weeks left to the former school year here in Buffalo before summer vacation.
The second challenge was family life itself and achieving that success of balancing one's home budget amidst monthly rent, utilities, vehicle insurance, not to mention food costs for a family of seven. The new school year and mom's work schedule brought the stability of a daily routine to the family.
This past Advent/Christmas season had the younger members of the family join the many other students at Catholic Academy of West Buffalo in their Christmas Pageant containing new and old Christmas favorites.
The oldest daughter, Condoleza Hope, had a small speaking part in their school's first ever drama production of "A Christmas Carol." First time acting, the first play for one of Buffalo's newest charter schools all pointed to the fact that "A Star is Born." May the Lord continue the good He has begun in the life of this new family among us......
